Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is a method that uses radar pulse to figure out the subsurface. This non-destructive method uses high frequency electromagnetic waves detected by radar equipment that allows CPL to locate buried objects easily.
Unlike other locators, ground penetrating radar can display images in real time of exact locating and depth of up to 12 feet. This determines any electrical conduits, rebar pattern and its quality, post-tensioned cables, measure slab thickness, width and depth of voids, PVC conduits, and cooling/heating lines.
How it works: GPR uses transmitting and receiving antennas which then radiates short pulses of high-frequency EM (Electromagnetic) into the ground. The waves that encounters the interface of the materials and having different dielectric constants, a part of the energy is reflected back to the surface that has been detected by the receiver and then transmitted to a control unit for display. CPL uses this state of the art technology to generate a report relating to all the findings with details by mapping out the scanned surface.
Benefits: Unlike other locators, GPR can image in real time. CPL is committed to saving your thousands of dollars by using this service to help eliminate costly repairs. Knowing what is underneath before digging or drilling into a surface of the unknown is not only cost-effective, but it is also safe. CPL is also dedicated to providing you with accurate information and awareness.
GPR Applications:
  • Plastic Pipes
  • Transit Pipelines
  • Underground Storage Tanks
  • Sewer Lines
  • Void Location
  • Once virtually impossible fiberglass fuel lines are now easily located.
